Homecoming is the official exhibition celebrating Kaskinen’s 240th anniversary, bringing together two generations from the pinnacle of Finnish visual art: Ahti Lavonen – an internationally known informalist and visionary of the 1960s – and his son, Kuutti Lavonen, a highly respected visual artist and printmaker.

The exhibition is held at Bladh House, a building of great cultural and historical significance to Kaskinen and exceptionally important to the city. Its unique atmosphere creates a powerful connection to art, history, and spirituality. The exhibition features works from the Kuntsi Foundation’s collections as well as from private collectors – some shown to the public for the very first time.

This is a homecoming – for the artists, the works, and the memories.

Come and experience Finnish art history at its birthplace.
