Bladhintie 80 – Historic timber house and traditional restoration
Built in 1792, the log house had been vacant for at least 10 years before it was purchased in October 2021. Renovation began immediately, and Christmas was already celebrated in the house the same year. The restoration was completed in summer 2022. The renovation respected the building’s original character: walls and ceilings were neither straightened nor replaced, only painted. Plumbing, water pipes, and electrical systems were renewed. Most crawl space floors had failed and were replaced. A water damage in the WC that had spread to the kitchen was repaired. Porous wood fibre boards were added to the walls, and the windows were restored.
The site is open during the official opening hours of the fair
Special programme: The owners will be present to share the history and restoration of the house. Guided tours will be arranged during the fair.
