Kaskö kyrka

Kaskinen church

This church is the first actual church building in Kaskinen and it was built in 1965. The church was planned by architect professor Erik Kråkström. In the main hall there is room for 200 people. Drapes separate the main and the smaller hall from each other, these drapes were designed by Irja Mikkola.

The organ was built at Kangasala Organ Factory in 1966. It is mechanical with 12 parts. Åke Hellman made the painting at the altar, ”Jesus tages ned från korset” (Jesus taken down from the cross).
