Ådskär – Outdoor Recreation Area
Ådskär, also known as Lipinnokka, is the southernmost point of Kaskinen Island and a popular outdoor recreation area and natural attraction among locals. The shores of the peninsula are rocky, and the middle of the area is covered by old forest. From here, there are beautiful views of the open sea and the Stor Remmargrund fairway beacon.
The shipping channel to Kaskinen Harbour passes right beside Lipinnokka, and with a bit of luck you may spot an ocean-going vessel heading to the deep-water harbour or a herring trawler on its way to the fishing harbour.
At the southern tip, there are also the ruins of a defensive wall dating back to the Crimean War. The trails in the area are not marked, but since the peninsula is bordered by the sea on both sides, it is easy to navigate.
You can leave your car or bicycle at the pilot station parking area marked on the map.
