Raatihuoneenkatu 48 – Kaskinen Local History Museum
The Kaskinen Local History Museum is located on plot no. 47 in block 6. The museum building dates back to the early 1800s and was completed in its present form in 1850 by property owner C.D. Renström. The museum houses an extensive collection of photographs, documents, and objects telling the story of the town and its inhabitants.
The museum contains research on buildings, owners, and residents of approximately 400 plots in the old protected grid plan area. It also holds a photo archive of about 20,000 images. In 2025, the museum will host an exhibition showing original drawings and photographs of as many buildings as possible.
