As part of the Kaskinen Wooden House and Restoration Fair, the historic cinema property located at Aleksanterinkatu 32, Kaskinen will be offered for sale through a public auction. The auction will take place on Saturday, 22 August 2026 at 5:00 PM. The starting price is €500.

A Piece of Local Cultural History

Cinema screenings began in Kaskinen in 1924. The current Bio Espis building was designed by architect and engineer Väinämö Killinen, and the original drawings are dated November 1940. The building has retained much of its original character, including the historic cinema auditorium.
